Hinton (IA) Community Schools Contracts with Lunchtime Solutions

The Hinton Board of Education awarded a food service contract beginning with the 13-14 school year to Lunchtime Solutions at the May board meeting.  It is the first time the district has opted to contract food service,  and the benefits sought were to enhance the program with additional entree choices and unlimited fruits and vegetables served with every lunch.  Chef prepared entrees will be featured several times during the year, and the support and expertise offered in menu compliance with new regulations was seen as a big plus by the board.
