Custer County Chronicle: Honoring our Vets

Several of our food service directors plan Veterans Day meals at their school districts where students invite past and present members of the military to eat lunch with them. It’s a touching tradition that brings communities together, and it’s no surprise that the lunches are a hit with children and adults alike. This year, Custer (NE) Elementary School decided to join in the fun in a big way, combining a veterans lunch with a schoolwide program and an art project. The Custer County Chronicle came out to cover the event, and school guidance counselor Michelle Watland took many great photos. How awesome!
